Buying Instruments for a School or Institution in the UAE: A Checklist
Kitting out a music room, faculty, worship space or hotel is a different job from buying one instrument. Get procurement right and the gear lasts for years.
Specify by use, not just by name
A durable classroom set has different priorities than recital-grade instruments. Tell your supplier how the gear will be used and let them match the spec.
Get a tender-ready quotation
Schools, government and corporate buyers need an itemised document with volume pricing, issued against a proper TRN so your 5% VAT is compliant from day one.
Budget for delivery and installation
Installing PA and sound systems for a hall or worship space — mounting, cabling, calibration, sign-off — is where projects succeed or stall. Confirm who is responsible before you sign.
Plan for climate and after-sales
Heat, humidity and dust are hard on pianos and audio here. A scheduled maintenance plan is the best predictor of whether the investment lasts.
